It's not because we love the tropical beach, though we do. The palm is our mark because it is the source of every bowl.
THE MISSION
Healthier food, from campus out.
Chimba started with one student at Butler University who wanted healthier food on campus. Not a lecture about it, just something fresh, fast, and actually good. So he made his own açaí bowls and started serving them.
What began on campus now pops up across the city. Weekends at the Illinois Street Food Emporium, plus collabs at gyms, birthday parties, and corporate events in between. Next he wants to bring that same good energy to the whole Butler Tarkington neighborhood. Every bowl is fresh, built to order, in front of you.

Felipe started Chimba as a student at Butler University, set on giving campus a fresher, healthier, more fun way to eat. So he built it himself. He has lived in four countries, which might explain why Chimba feels like it belongs everywhere, and why everyone is welcome at the cart.
QUÉ CHIMBA
Named after a feeling.
In Colombia, qué chimba is what you say when something is genuinely great. A goal in the last minute, a perfect day, a really good bowl. We named the cart after that feeling, and we try to earn it every weekend.
